TOUR INFORMATION FOR THOSE ARRIVING BY CRUISE

When cruise ships arrive in Santorini, they usually dock in the open near the Volcano, and our tourists are taken by tender to either Athinios or Old Port. This occurs because the main port is not deep enough to accommodate large cruise ships.

However, approaching the island aboard a smaller sailboat, on the other hand, is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure! Those who book a Santorini tour through a cruise line are taken to Athinios port, the island’s principal port (20 minutes drive from Fira). The Old Port offers an entirely different experience. You can get to Fira by donkey (yep, you read that correctly) or cable car in 3 minutes maximum.

Taking the traditional route of donkey riding is fascinating and provides a look into the past. Please keep in mind that donkeys do not transport you all the way up and that you will have to walk a little distance to reach Fira’s center. According to the Golden Ibex team, the cable car is the safest and quickest method to the town center. Your private tour guide will be waiting for you at the cable car exit to begin your chosen excursion and assist you in living the ultimate Santorini experience.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Golden Ibex Tours does not charge a cancellation fee for tours and excursions cancelled for ‘force majeure’ reasons or reasons beyond control. If cancellation happens due to personal or business reasons and Golden Ibex Tours has already incurred costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.

Cancellation Policy. 5 days before it starts for a 50% refund of the deposit, with no refunds after that. The service fee is non-refundable.
